Compare 1 oz Gold Britannia prices

The 1 oz Britannia is the UK’s flagship bullion coin: a full troy ounce of 999.9 fine gold, UK legal tender, and one of the most liquid gold products in the world.

Prices below are the delivered total for a single coin. Open any product to compare at your own quantity — the ranking genuinely changes at five or ten coins, because delivery is spread further and several dealers apply price breaks.

Best-value versus current-year

A “best value” Britannia is supplied in whatever year the dealer holds. The gold content is identical to a current-year coin and the premium is usually lower, so if you are buying for metal content it is the better purchase.

A current-year coin costs a little more for a guaranteed date and uncirculated condition. That matters if you are assembling a set; it buys you nothing if you are buying gold.

Britannias are 24 carat and therefore softer than a 22 carat Sovereign or Krugerrand. They mark more easily, and condition affects what a dealer will pay when you sell.
