Comparison
Mixed-year Sovereign prices
Mixed-year Sovereigns go by many names: best value, mixed date, pre-owned, secondary market, random year, or “our choice of year”. They are the same thing, and we match all of those phrasings to a single product so you can compare dealers properly.
You receive whatever dates the dealer holds, in circulated to good condition. The fine gold content is identical to a brand-new coin — 7.32 g either way.

Why the naming matters
Dealers describe this product inconsistently, which makes it genuinely hard to compare. A comparison that treats “Best Value Sovereign” and “Random Year Sovereign” as different products will show you two half-empty tables instead of one complete one.
We maintain a controlled list of aliases mapping every phrasing to one normalised product. When a dealer uses a phrasing we have not seen, the listing goes to a review queue rather than being guessed at — a wrong match would attach a half Sovereign’s price to a full Sovereign’s page.
